Today marked the conclusion of New York Fashion Week. I can only imagine the chaos and planning involved to bring this acclaimed event to fruition, but what I can say is that it successfully showcased the best of what’s in store for the remainder of the year. Here are the designers that caught my eye:
My favorite trends for this fall-winter season are the ethnic prints, vintage-inspired sleek and lean silhouettes, and the revival of fur apparel (whether faux or otherwise.) I have noticed an upheaval of Native American, South American, and African patterns to come, and I’m extremely excited for other pocket-friendly designers to take notice and follow stride. The romantic gowns shown above, utilize delicate, slinky materials like chiffon and lace which fall on the body so beautifully, creating such a feminine look. I adore it.
