Gorgeous Bridal Gowns: Spring 2011 Collection

Wedding dress dreams don’t end when you pack your Barbie’s away in the attic.  This season is all about whimsical, unexpected, eye-catching elements, and modern detail that harmonize with traditional silhouettes,  especially on your big day.  Once in a lifetime, right?  Hopefully!

The all-over lace falls so delicately in this mermaid cut gown, and the subtle knotted strap detail updates the simple design.  Very romantic, sophisticated and inherently sexy.

Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham’s “Gaia” gown will undoubtedly evoke the Greek goddess that’s naturally in you.  This silk satin A-line dress features beautiful applique embellishments, hourglass appearance at the natural waistline, and full beaded back design.  It’s the perfect ethereal look for any blushing bride.

Vera Wang

Vera Wang is known for her fantastical gowns, and as of late, the fluid movement they take on from top to bottom.  This gown makes any young bride seem as if she’s walking on water.  The flair ruffling at the foot of the gown adds an elegant bit of drama, without risking being too over-designed.

Temperley London

Temperley London’s “Long Jean Dress” pays homage to 1940’s retro glamour.  It’s an understated kind of sexy with its butterfly sleeves and cutout pattern.  While the style captivates me, I doubt I’d be able to pull it off; it seems to work best on waif figures, or those Ava Gardner’s among us.

    1. I only wish that I can afford these kind of dresses when my time comes. Are you in the market for a bridal gown?

P.S. I just ADORE your blog! The images are amazing, and you’re quite the talented artist. 😉 Keep up the great work!
