The 2012 Miss America Pageant did not disappoint, and while I was obviously rooting for Miss California finalist, Noelle Freeman, I can see why Miss Wisconsin, Laura Kaeppeler, won the crown.

Miss Wisconsin during the Miss America Pageant evening gown portion. I love the subtle drama of the dress and her lovely smile.
Miss Wisconsin wearing a very flattering jewel-accented white bikini. Gotta say it–amazing bod!
I had to sneak Miss California into this post. She has a great face, save for the unfortunate crazy-eye of this shot. Ah, well.
One more of Miss California. See? Cute face in profile, too!
But at the end of the day, Laura Kaeppeler wins the gold and is crowned Miss America for 2012.
Cue music: “Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she wonderful…”
You know that 99% of the contestants shown are devastated, but way to take a great, smiling shot.
I’m glad that Miss Wisconsin won. Her platform on supporting and mentoring children of incarcerated parents is an issue that often goes unnoticed and under-served.
