There are a few things at present that are making me a very happy lady.
So happy that I’d almost forgotten all about my itty bitty blog — sorry ’bout that!
Here’s the short version.
1. Organic Blue Eggs
My grandpa’s organic blue chicken eggs are a weekly treat I enjoy. These blue eggs come from Ameraucana hens also known as “Easter Egg Chickens.” The deep yellow-colored yolk and pretty blue eggshells make cooking up omelets double the fun.

2. Shiba Inu Puppies
I’ve been watching a live feed of Shiba Inu puppies for the last two weeks, and I can’t get enough of their cute faces! The Shiba Inu puppy cam is addictive.
3. Yoga and Meditation
I’ve been looking into fusing yoga and meditation into my practice. To start, I’m reading The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali at the recommendation of a fellow yogini. I don’t expect it to happen overnight, but it’s going steadily.
Blueberries are the best in oatmeal, especially when they pop in the microwave and dye my bowl a bright blue.
It just sets the day right, somehow.
5. Honey Highlights
Soon I’ll be indulging in another salon appointment and honey highlights are in my near future. I’ve had them before, but never with shorter hair (although my hair is now at my collar bone.)
The hunt for the right honey highlights is officially on.
6. Hanging Out with Friends
Even though my weekends have been incredibly busy with outings, hanging out with friends is a great way to let go and relax.
Conversations with others is a healthy change to conversations with yourself. Kidding — talking to yourself can be healthy, too.
