Trend Alert: Statement Rings

The key to reinventing the same old wardrobe week after week is all in how you accessorize.  A plain black tee and skinny jeans, for example, can go from girl-next-door to fierce fashionista when paired with a bold, bauble ring and patent pumps.  See?  It’s possible to go from day to evening without tearing up your closet. This spring, the go-to accessory piece is the statement ring.  Lucky me, as I’m a huge lover of recklessly loud and in-your-face fashion.

Laura Lombardi Jewelry: Sweet and Delicate

While my style doesn’t state it, I have a deep appreciation for fashion that is simple and feminine. There’s a grace and almost ethereal quality that they bring to the wearer in that their design and concept are not meant to overpower what the true focus is: you.

Laura Lombardi is a jewelry designer based in Chicago, Illinois, who is receiving increasing acclaim in the accessories world for her stunning repurposed collections.  Their signature design style is all about pure geometric shapes, and a fine sense of unobtrusive architecture.

Gold Ripple Earrings – $54

Copper Shield Necklace – $42

Brass Bar Earrings – $24

Geometric Bib Necklace – $85

Polyvore JC Penny and MNG Contest

Yep, I’m at it again.  I noticed that some may say my fashion sense is a bit too matchy-matchy.  Below is my published set for this contest.  I’m really feeling MNG’s bauble ring!  I only wish I could pull off the trousers; my hips are unmerciful in that cut.
